Port of Muskogee

The Port of Muskogee is strategically located at the confluence of the Arkansas, Grand, and Verdigris Rivers and offers an economical method for shipping a variety of bulk products anywhere in the world.

Maintaining a minimum 9-foot draft, the Port of Muskogee is situated on the 445-mile long McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, the nation’s most inland, all-weather waterway linking Oklahoma with inland ports on the Ohio, Illinois and Mississippi Rivers, as well as, sea ports throughout the world, via the Port of New Orleans.

The waterway is well suited for shipping products such as petroleum, steel, grain and other agricultural products, coal and construction materials.  Considering the variety of barges available and the increasing use of containerization, almost any product is suitable for transportation on the system.

The Terminal has extensive capabilities for barge, rail and truck shipping and receiving of commodities and is serviced by Oakley’s Terminal Muskogee, which provides transloading services under contract to the Muskogee City-County Port Authority.

Paragon industries provides coil splitting service in the Public Terminal Area and opeartes a state of the art steel coil factory, capable of slitting coils up to 72" wide and .5" thick.
