Under contract with the Muskogee City-County Port Authority, Johnston’s Terminal – Muskogee provides a variety of barge, rail and truck transloading services in the public terminal area of the Port of Muskogee.

With decades of  experience in tailoring its capabilities and available resources to customers' scheduling, equipment, and operational needs, Johnston’s Terminal Muskogee handles large volumes of bulk and break bulk commodities, including containers, steel pipe, coil, plate, beam, sand, salt, feldspar, clay, granite fines, coal, coke, fertilizer, grain, paper, scrap, glass and ore.
 

Handling Services and Equipment Provided by Johnston’s Terminal - Muskogee

• Railroad switching inside the public terminal area
• Harbor service with 1,200 horsepower towboat for switching and fleeting barges along river frontage
• Ample fleeting and staging areas for up to 75 barges
• One 35 ton and two 10 ton overhead cranes
• One 60 ton mobile crane
• 6,000 link belt excavator with 13.5 yd. hydraulic clam shell bucket and 55' boom
• Certified rail and truck scales with 200 ton capacity
• Four forklifts with up to 33,000 pounds capability
• Four front-end loaders (2 - 7 yards)
• Track excavator for unloading bulk commodities from rail

Storage Capacities in the Public Terminal Area

For steel or bulk materials requiring inside or outside storage:

• 18,000 sq. ft. heated transit shed with sprinkler system
• 76,000 sq. ft. storage warehouse with overhead cranes
• 8,400 sq. ft. storage building for coverall storage
• 20,000 ton open storage on concrete
• 39 acres of open storage

Paragon Industries provides coil slitting service in the Public Terminal Area and   operates a state of the art steel coil facility, capable of slitting coils up to 72" wide and .5" thick.
