OCTOBER 2006

Proform, Inc. has acquired the Beach Group Inc. (BGI) building in the Port of Muskogee Industrial Park and is manufacturing components for the automotive industry. Primarily fuel tanks for buses and trucks. Proform is a welcome addition to the Port and the greater Muskogee manufacturing community.

JANUARY 2006

The Port Authority has completed the installation of a closed circuit television security surveillance system. The Port is continually upgrading facility security measures in response to the post 9-11 environment.

APRIL 2005

AUGUST 2004

THE NINA IS COMING! The Nina is an exact replica of one of Columbus' Portuguese caravel sailing ships and will be arriving at Three Forks Harbor on September 24, 2004. The ship will be open for tours. The Nina was in Muskogee in 2001 and was toured by over 30,000 people. Three Forks Harbor is located immediately south of the U.S. Highway 62 bridge on the east bank of the Arkansas River. Tours can be booked by calling (561) 301-9692. January 2004

Johnston's has completed two bulk storage domes near the docks in the Port. The domes are now in use. Johnston's also has a new office adjacent to the truck scales and is no longer co-located with the Port offices. Their new address is 4601 Harold Scoggins Drive.

Work on phase II of the access road for the Port of Muskogee/John T. Griffin industrial park should be completed in April or May 2004. This phase will link the Dal Tile facility with Smith Ferry Road and U.S. Highway 64.
